DJ MAFIA of Sneaker Freaker just crafted her own version of the Air Force 1 at the Nike Sportswear Store at 21 Mercer Street. The result is a shoe that carries references to some well-known models from Nikes storied past–including the Air Max 90 Infrared colorway and the Air Tech Challenge in Infrared. It also pays homage to the Air Max 1 Safari Models. The upper features sheen gold in the middle panel and a black suede swoosh atop a red swoosh for a classic combination. The contrast stitching on the midsole pairs nicely with the infrared hits on the heel, tongue, and laces.
